Per-child configuration
Child profiles keep rules separate
Use a separate profile when children should not share the same channel library, daily watch limit, learning settings, or activity report.

What can differ by child
- Approved channels and available content.
- Daily watch-time limits.
- Whether short videos or approved-content search are available.
- Learning module selection and learning goals.
- Watch history, topic reports, and quiz performance.
Why profiles matter
A preschooler and a school-age child usually need different boundaries. One shared household setting can become either too permissive for the younger child or unnecessarily restrictive for the older one.
Profiles let the parent express those differences directly rather than constantly changing a single global configuration.
A practical setup pattern
- Create the youngest or most restricted profile first.
- Approve only the channels intended for that child.
- Set the daily limit and learning rules.
- Verify the kid view.
- Create the next profile and repeat with age-appropriate differences.
See the siblings example for a representative side-by-side configuration.
Do not treat age as the only input
Age can help frame decisions, but parents should also consider maturity, interests, family routine, and the actual content of each approved channel. WonderKid TV provides controls; it does not decide what is appropriate for a particular child.
Common profile questions
Can two children have different daily limits?
Yes. The product is designed around per-kid controls rather than one mandatory household limit.
Can the same channel be approved for both children?
Yes. A parent can make independent approval choices for each profile.
